Have You Cried in the Wilderness Lately

Matthew 28:19-20.

Do you do this as a disciple of Christ? Do you teach the Gospel to all nations wherever you are, to whoever God gives you opportunity to talk? Are you convicted by the Holy Spirit to preach upon the housetops that which you've heard in the ear concerning the Salvation of Christ? Are you fearful of what someone might say? Are you afraid you will push them further away from God? Are you afraid you might offend someone?

Matthew 10:28 says not to fear those which can kill the body "but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Matthew 28:19-20 is so commonly misintrepreted nowadays among those churches seeking to be relevant. Many churches use this scripture to add numbers to their congregations rather than exhort the congregation to simply share the Gospel. Jesus gave us our calling, commanding us to preach and teach the Gospel to all nations. That means YOU, not your church or pastor.

Are you obeying the great comission? Pray for workers as the fields are ready to be harvested and you yourself get busy and redeem the time as it is short. For He has not given us a Spirit of fear.

Do not bury your talent, put to good use that which God has given you. Maybe you say, "Well I serve in the choir, usher or fix dinners for the church, watch the children." True, but do you exhibit the JOY of salvation. If you share more about a good movie or TV program you've recently seen than the Gospel what does this speak of your faith? Do you truly believe all those who do not give their lives to Christ in repentance and proclaim Jesus as Lord of their life will go to hell?

Jesus is good to keep His promise. If you are His then you are a fisher of men.
Mark 1:17. Do not despise what Christ has given, teach and preach the Gospel to all nations; else you are fit for nothing but to be cut down and cast out where there is weeping and gnashing.
